The competition is held in Zurich, Switzerland
VCF Femenino Under-19s travel to Switzerland this week for the Blue Stars / FIFA Youth Cup, an international tournament which in 2024 will celebrate its 84th edition in Zurich.
The tournament features a group format and shortened games of 20 minutes per half. The top two in each group will move on to the semifinals.
GROUP B
The Valencia CF team have been drawn in Group B, along with Red Bull Leizpig from Germany and Swiss teams BSC Young Boys and Grasshopper Club.

"WE WANT TO COMPETE AND ENJOY THE TOURNAMENT"
“We are very excited and want, above all, to enjoy ourselves,” explains Naser Kayani, VCF Femenino B coach. His players come into the prestigious tournament after having achieved a victory in last weekend's Segunda Fut Fem Federation season closer.
"We have some important absences due to injury and we are going to Switzerland with a very young team, with some 16-year-old players, but we are going to compete as we always do,” highlights the coach, who has some VCF Femenino C players available for action.

The Blue Stars / FIFA Youth Cup will take place at the Buchlern sports facility in Zurich, with capacity for 6000 spectators.
It is played in a group format with reduced time matches -20 minutes each time-. The top two teams in each group will play in the semifinals and the two winners in the final.

VCF Femenino U19 has previously participated in this Blue Stars / FIFA Youth Cup, which on its website highlights the presence in previous editions of the World Champion with Spain and VCF Femenino goalkeeper Enith Salón.
