The Valencia CF coach talks after the 2-2 result against Deportivo Alavés
The limited edition burger has been designed by the Valencia CF midfielder
Starting June 12th and during the first two weeks of The Champions Burger at Mestalla, Lamburguesa will enter the contest with a special, limited edition burger designed by Valencia CF player Pepelu.
The burger is made up of artisan bread, a patty from Carnicería Catalá, soft cheese, poached onion, honey and mustard sauce and a special mayonnaise.
More than 20 different gourmet burgers will be served in the food trucks of the different restaurants at the event.
The Valencian company, owned by Pablo Martínez (Grupo El Gordo and El Flaco) and his brother Salva, previously participated in the contest in 2020.
How was Pepelu's burger created?
The burger was created at La Mar de Flaca, another of the Valencian restaurant group's outlets. The Valencia CF midfielder visited the establishment a few months ago to taste the 'Pepelu de Dénia' sandwich, created in tribute to the good season the player was having.
After the success of the burger, the player agreed to collaborate with Lamburguesa to present his new creation, known as 'Pepelu'. Once the ingredients were selected, both parties met to record the promotional video for the campaign, which is the prelude to the restaurant's participation in The Champions Burger.
The voting
All who visit The Champions Burger from June 12th to July 7th will have the opportunity to try the different burgers prepared for the occasion. In addition, it will be the attendees who decide, through a vote, the best burgers of the event. One from Valencia and another from around Spain will be selected, which will compete to win the title of 'Best Burger in Spain'. The ten Spanish burgers with the best scores will fight to win the award for 'Best Burger in Europe', another of the contest's novelties in this edition.
