Yarek Gasiorowski and Raúl Jiménez, into the Under 19 European Championship Final

Spain will face France next Sunday, 28 July, at 8 pm at Windsor Park in Belfast.

Valencia CF players, Yarek Gasiorowski and Raúl Jiménez, have qualified for the final of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship after beating Italy (0-1) in the semi-finals.

The Spanish side reached the final of the European Championship after finishing second in Group B with 5 points after one win (against Denmark) and two draws (Turkey and France) and beating Italy in the semi-finals of the championship.

Both the Valencia CF defender Yarek Gasiorowski and VCF Academy goalkeeper Raúl Jiménez are two of the mainstays of the team coached by José Lana. Both players have been starters in all the matches (4) that the Spanish team has played in this U19 European Championship.

On the one hand, Yarek (2005) has extended his enormous goalscoring record with the Under-19s, scoring a goal against Turkey. With 6 goals, he is the player who has scored the most goals in his appearances with the Spanish U-19 team and the one who has played the most games (27).

On the other hand, Raúl Jiménez (2006) came into this European Championship, being his first call-up with the U-19 team and after featuring with the U-18 team, playing in the U-18 World Cup in Indonesia. Along with Yarek, he is one of the regulars in the squad. He has been the goalkeeper who has conceded the fewest goals (4) in group B of the tournament.

Spain will play the final against France next Sunday, 28 July, at 8 pm at Windsor Park in Belfast.
