Baraja: "tHE TEAM kePT going AND COMPETED UNTIL THE END"
The Valencia CF coach talks after the 2-2 result against Deportivo Alavés
The former Valencia player, guest on L’Informatiu of VCF Media Radio
Former Valencia CF player (1997-2009) Curro Torres was the main guest on L’Informatiu of VCF Media Radio yesterday, where he shared his perspective on the current state of the club's first team.
Team’s Situation
“I am 100% convinced that the situation will improve, and that by the end of the season, we’ll achieve the goal that currently seems challenging.”
On Baraja
“I’m certain about who should lead the team forward. He came in during a tough time, saved the team with courage and determination, and managed to keep us safe that first season. Last year, he had a fantastic season, bringing the team close to a European playoff spot, and I still believe he’s the right person to lead us through this. He knows the club, the environment, and understands the challenges. He’s more than prepared to push forward with the team, regain a positive atmosphere, even though it won’t be easy.”
Message to the Fans
“I stand with him in what he said recently regarding our situation—it’s a time for everyone to come together, supporting the team and the players who, in the end, are the ones out there fighting for points. It’s time to be united, and I have no doubt that Valencia CF’s fans have always supported the team. It’s understandable that they’re tired and worried; everyone has the right to express themselves. But right now, we all need to rally around the team, the staff, and form a shield around them so they feel supported. There will be tough moments, but the players will appreciate the backing, regardless of individual opinions. Now is the time to support the team.”
