The power of Mestalla
Valencia CF is preparing for a crucial start to February with three important home matches at Mestalla.
Valencia CF head coach Carlos Corberán emphasized the impact of playing at Mestalla, stating, "The strength and power of Mestalla is colossal." This was evident in the team's recent victory over Real Sociedad, where the passionate support of the fans played a crucial role.
At the start of February, Valencia CF will face three critical home matches at Mestalla:
- Sunday, February 2 (16:15 CET): vs. RC Celta de Vigo (Matchday 22, LALIGA EA SPORTS)
- Thursday, February 6 (21:30 CET): vs. FC Barcelona (Copa del Rey Quarterfinals)
- Sunday, February 9 (16:15 CET): vs. CD Leganés (Matchday 23, LALIGA EA SPORTS)
Corberán reiterated the importance of making Mestalla a fortress: "Every game we play, we must transmit that power to our opponents. They know playing at Mestalla is tough. We must activate ourselves and give everything to maintain that strength."
Mestalla has witnessed impressive attendance figures throughout the first half of the 2024-25 season. In the nine home matches of LALIGA EA SPORTS, the stadium has welcomed an average of 42,696 fans per game, totaling 384,267 spectators, with 90% of season ticket holders attending each match.
With these crucial fixtures ahead, the unwavering support of the Mestalla faithful will be key as Valencia CF aims to continue their strong form.
