VCF Academy Japan celebrates 15th anniversary with visit to Valencia

The VCF Academy Japan celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2025, and marked the occasion with their annual visit to Valencia.

In addition to their regular training, the VCF Academy Japan players travel to Valencia every season for a Training Experience at the Ciudad Deportiva and learn more about the methodology of the VCF Academy itself.

“We have been a VCF Academy for 15 years. We have come to Valencia and the children are very happy to learn about Spanish football and the concept and identity of Valencia CF,” said Yoshio Nakatani, director of the VCF Academy Japan, which has two headquarters in Kanazawa and Wakayama that host nearly a hundred players.

“I feel at home here and we are very happy. The children were able to see the players and they are very pleased, excited and eager to continue learning about Valencia CF."

Throughout an entire week, the players were able to train and play matches at the Valencia CF training ground. “We have learned a lot, but the important thing is to continue training when we return to Japan” explains Kanata Mijayima, one of the participants.

“The Ciudad Deportiva is impressive, with many pitches and many players of our age training. We have learned many things to improve as players.”

Tomoki Kyota, another player, added that "We were able to play against teams from Valencia CF and we saw that they have very good players. We have learned a lot and we feel at home.”

In addition, the VCF Academy Japan players watched the LaLiga victory at Mestalla against Celta Vigo.

Nakatani was in the VIP Box for the game and had an institutional meeting with the Corporate Director of Valencia CF, Javier Solís, who presented him with a commemorative shirt.

The VCF Academy Japan is the oldest of the various VCF Academies that Valencia CF have in different strategic markets in America, Asia and Europe, which allow the club's brand image and the VCF Academy methodology to expand worldwide.
