The Valencia CF legend and Club ambassador reacts to the LALIGA EA SPORTS 2025/26 fixture list on L’Informatiu on VCF Media Radio.
Although he could only train for a single day in preparation for the game against Atletico Madrid, José Luis Gayà put on a strong performance at Mestalla on Matchday 24, sending in a multitude of crosses into the box and coming close to scoring on a couple of occasions.
After the game, the full back said that "We have a good feeling ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash. We need to be more united than ever."
"We deserved to win. We had a very good second half and had chances to win the game. We came out with a really good mentality, and we need to carry on with this feeling and fight for the Champions League," he continued.
"We're facing the game with excitement. It isn't every day that you play in the Champions League Last 16. We're going to go there with the best mentality possible and try to score a few goals there. We know how important the tie is for both the club and the fans."
