Valencia CF Academy gets recognition at a sports gala
Diario Sport and LaLiga present VCF's Alevín A with an award for their behavior in last season’s LaLiga FC Futures
Last weekend, the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna welcomed the different Valencianista international academies from all over the world to enjoy a unique experience at the I VCF Academy World Cup. A first edition in which, apart from the football field, it was also a cultural experience, from a previous training camp to visiting many iconic places in Valencia such as the City of Arts and Sciences or the Oceanogràfic.
It is worth highlighting the high competitive level of all the teams and, above all, the Sentiment, Bravery and fellowship Undoubtedly, a tournament that reinforced the great family that is the VCF Academy.
Around 150 children from 10 teams from the US, Canada, South Korea, Morocco, the Netherlands, Greece, Cyprus and Lithuania enjoyed this first edition which turned the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna into the epicentre of a mini U12 World Cup where they could appreciate the evolution of football in each of these countries.
This first edition was composed of a previous training camp; an incredible tournament; an All-Stars match, gathering the best players of the championship and playing against VCF Alevín B; and several spectacular semi-finals and final in which FK Zalgiris Kaunas were crowned as the first winners of the competition.
The teams present had the opportunity to visit the City of Arts and Sciences, the Oceanogràfic and the historic centre of the capital. In addition, they were able to get to know the entrails of the Mestalla, LaLiga's most historic stadium, which celebrates its centenary in 2023. Unforgettable experiences that will stay in the memories of the players, coaches and families.
The VCF Soccer Academy that the VCF Academy has in strategic markets in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia are part of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs that help expand the Valencia CF brand and what its colours symbolise worldwide. This Internationalisation Strategy has been a finalist in the World Football Summit Awards 2021.
The main objective of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs, in addition to expanding the image of Valencia CF and its philosophy throughout the world, is to take the training methods of Valencia CF to any part of the planet and spread the values that always accompany this Club.
Making the participants enjoy and learn from the best professionals of the Valencia CF Academy, one of the best in Europe according to the latest reports from the CIES Football Observatory.
This first edition of the VCF Academy World Cup coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna, which is celebrated in 2022.
The different teams that participate in the tournament will be able to appreciate the new theme of the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna and learn in depth the values project carried out by the VCF Academy.
During this time, it has not stopped growing in terms of the available resources and the improvement of the working methodology to train football players for the elite and educate the nearly 450 boys and girls who train every day on their playing pitches after the full integration of the entire women's structure in the VCF Academy and in the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna.
In these 30 years there are more than 100 players who, having trained at the VCF Academy, have debuted in an official match with the first team, six of them this season: César Tárrega, Cristhian Mosquera, Rubén Iranzo, Javi Guerra, Jesús Santiago Yellu and Mario Dominguez.
The Valencia CF Soccer Camps, Training Stages, the VCF Soccer Academy and Sports Consulting services are just a few examples of this great project.
