Valencia CF will raise a 'Zero Discrimination' flag at Mestalla
Valencia CF will raise a representative flag against discrimination, in any of its forms, at Mestalla to mark World Zero Discrimination Day on March 1st. This is a pioneering initiative in world football scene and reflects the club's fight against any type of discrimination.
For over 20 years, the North End at Mestalla has had the flags of LaLiga clubs displayed in order of their league position, and on Friday the new emblem will be raised at the top of the South End.
This new symbol, dubbed ‘The flag of everyone,’ will serve to remember the values of Valencia CF fans. The VCF World-Zero Discrimination flag consists of the representative colours of all the flags in the world, with the most used colours in each of them taking on prominence.
This innovative initiative demonstrates the importance of the VCF World-Zero Discrimination project for the club.
VCF World - Zero Discrimination
At the beginning of this season, Valencia CF launched VCF WORLD - ZERO DISCRIMINATION, a new 100% social project that brings together all the initiatives carried out for this purpose and that responds to the vocation to contribute positively to improving society that has accompanied the Club since its foundation in 1919.
Under this slogan, Valencia CF have drawn up a decalogue against discrimination that includes values applicable both inside Mestalla and outside the stadium, as well as a workshop against racism for VCF Academy players in which Diakhaby took part, and numerous actions to transmit values, support disadvantaged groups and social reintegration.
Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation work in favour of disadvantaged groups and social reintegration.
