Valencia CF and Banco de Alimentos de Valencia strengthen their alliance to continue helping the most disadvantaged people.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Valencia CF and Banco de Acción Solidaria, with the support of Banco de Alimentos de Valencia, joined forces to help families living in the city of Valencia in a precarious state.
In May 2020, Mestalla opened its doors and became one of the main food donation points in Valencia, where a total of 2,907,70 kg of staple food has been distributed to 116,505 beneficiaries in monthly deliveries. In addition, 7,522 solidarity bags have been provided to families in a precarious situation
while they regularised their documentation to be able to access the monthly distribution.
Four years after the start of the collaboration, Valencia CF and Banco de Alimentos de Valencia have strengthened their alliance by renewing an agreement that has enabled around 43,000 families in vulnerable situations to benefit from this aid.
In addition to the monthly distributions, different distributions have been organised at Mestalla on special dates such as Christmas or the holiday period. Besides, a food drive was carried out to aid refugees who were forced to leave their homes after the outbreak of war.
