VCF ACADEMY SEATTLE COMPLETE THEIR ANNUAL TRAINING STAY AT VALENCIA

“We come to Valencia every year and this time it is the largest expedition. We really enjoyed the whole experience and especially being with the Valencia CF family here,” explained Joe Campos, Director of the VCF Academy Seattle, one of the five VCF Academies - Seattle, New York, Chicago, Houston and Montreal - that Valencia CF have in North America.

“We are very happy and very proud to have come from the VCF Academy in Seattle with an entire women's team, because women's football is growing a lot in the US with Valencia CF."

“I think it's a fantastic experience for us,” added Reyna Vo, a VCF Academy Seattle player. 

“It is very inspiring to see the players so close up, because they were probably like us and it is a motivation to be able to reach that level,” she says.

Boys and girls from Seattle enjoyed a complete 10-day program with the methodology of the VCF Academy. In addition to the training sessions and meetings with the Valencia CF and VCF Femenino players, they also carried out video analysis sessions, physical preparation sessions and friendly matches with different Escoles VCF teams.

“We have the World Cup in the US in 2026, the American leagues are also growing and there is more and more interest in Spanish football and Valencia. We even have a team that are going to compete in the National Cup representing Valencia," explained Campos.

The experience was completed with some fun challenges, as well as visits to Mestalla to watch the Legends Match and the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències.

The VCF Academy that Valencia CF has in strategic markets in America, Asia and Europe are part of the VCF Academy Programs, which help to expand the Valencia CF brand and what its colors symbolize worldwide. This Internationalization Strategy has been a finalist in the World Football Summit Awards 2023.

In 2023, more than 5,000 players and 400 coaches from over 50 countries around the world participated in the various VCF Academy Programs to learn more about the VCF Academy's playing methodology and become part of the Valencianista family.

The objective of the VCF Academy Programs is to spread the image of Valencia CF and the methodology of the Valencia CF Academy, the fourth best in Europe in the training of players to compete at the elite level, according to the latest report of the CIES Football Observatory.
