The first week of the international break saw 11 Valencia CF players away with their respective countries, in both friendly and competitive fixtures ahead of upcoming tournaments.
Guedes: Portugal
Portugal took their first victory in Group B of the Qualifying Stage for Euro 2020, beating Serbia 2-4. Gonçalo Guedes got on the scoresheet with another excellent goal for his country, who will play Lithuania on Tuesday night in their next qualifying game.
Cillessen: The Netherlands
Jasper Cillessen was kept busy in a thrilling game against Germany in Hamburg, which ended 2-4 in The Netherlands' favour. He made three brilliant saves during the comeback from the Oranje, as they took a vital victory in their Euro 2020 qualifying group. Another away game is coming up on Monday, in Estonia.
Parejo, Rodrigo and Gayà: Spain
Whilst Dani Parejo and José Luis Gayà did not feature for Spain in the 1-2 win over Romania, Rodrigo Moreno played 70 minutes of the game and combined well with former Valencia CF teammate Paco Alcácer. He had a shot saved by Tătăruşanu before being subbed off late into the contest.
Spain play the Faroe Islands in Gijon on Sunday night.
Cheryshev: Russia
Denis Cheryshev was an unused substitute in a 1-2 win in Glasgow for Russia, as they bested Scotland in their latest Euro 2020 qualifier. The VCF player will hope for minutes on Monday against Kazakhstan.
Wass: Denmark
A 0-6 win for Denmark against Gibraltar saw Daniel Wass play all 90 minutes at right back, where he has featured most frequently for Valencia CF at the start of the season. This was his first full game for his country since March 25th, 2015. Denmark play Georgia on Sunday evening in Tbilisi.
Maxi Gómez: Uruguay
In friendly action, Maxi Gómez won a penalty for Uruguay against Costa Rica, in a game which concluded 1-2 to his country. A further friendly is coming up on Wednesday, as Uruguay play the USA in St. Louis.
Kang In: Korean Republic
Kang In made his unofficial senior side debut for Korean Republic in a 72-minute outing with against Georgia. A free kick that hit the post was his closest chance of the game. The VCF Academy product has an opportunity to debut officially in Ashgabat on Tuesday, when Korean Republic play Ashgabat away in a 2022 World Cup qualifier.
Torres: Spain Under-21s
Ferran Torres won a penalty (which was not converted by Carles Aleña) in an eventual 0-1 win for the Spain Under-21s in Kazakhstan. They have another European Championships qualifying game on Tuesday, this time in Castellon against Montenegro.
Correia: Portugal Under-21s
Valencia CF's most recent signing made his first start for the Portuguese Under-21s in a comfortable 4-0 win over Gibraltar. He had a shot hit the crossbar during the match. Correia has another fixture to come in the international break before joining up with his new teammates: Against Belarus on Tuesday evening.
