Pauleta Sancho rejoins VCF Femenino
Valencia CF Femenino and Paula Sancho have reached an agreement to cross paths again which will see the midfielder play in a VCF shirt for the next two seasons until the 30th of June 2024.
The 24-year-old Sagunto born player, 12th of June 1998, joins from Rayo Vallecano where she spent the last season, making 28 appearances, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
Pauleta is a footballer with VCF DNA. She came up through the ranks at the VCF academy and made her topflight debut with the first team in the 2017-2018 season under Jesús Oliva where she showcased her best footballing repertoire defending the clubs crest.
In the summer transfer window of 2018, she made a move to Fundación Albacete Femenino, where she had a spell of three seasons until she signed for Rayo Vallecano.
Pauleta’s footballing career suffered a setback on the 17th of November 2018, when she tore the ACL of her right knee and had to spend nine months on the side-lines. However, she bounced back and hit form which has allowed her to return home.
Pauleta boasts extensive international experience at the Spanish youth ranks. She became a World Cup winner at under-20 level in 2018 and a European champion at under-17 level in 2015.
This addition brings versatility into the squad. She’s got firepower in her left leg and will become and asset to Andrea Esteban.
Paula Sancho: “I’ve decided to make a move to VCF Femenino because it’s a team who have seen me grow since I was little. It’s a source of pride to have the chance to defend this badge. I feel I’m coming back home like a brand-new player. They have believed in me a lot and I want to keep growing and repay that trust on the pitch. I’m sure that with plenty of work we will achieve all the objectives set out for the season. Amunt!”.
