MOSQUERA: "THESE WINS AT MESTALLA ARE THE WAY FORWARD"

Cristhian Mosquera scored his first goal for Valencia CF in a match in which the team also kept a clean sheet. He spoke to VCF Media after the final whistle.

I am very happy about my first goal with Valencia CF, which helped the team and was very special. First of all, I would like to dedicate it to God -and also to all my family and the people who have helped me in this process.

GOALS FROM CENTRE BACKS

Diakhaby and I were alert for the goals, and they helped us to pick up points. The team were  very solid and we were very good at defending, very serious. The whole team are gaining confidence for the next few matches and this is the way forward.

JOY FOR DIAKHABY

It was an incredible joy. I was excited because he is a player who had been out of action for a long time. In the dressing room he is a fundamental player and we are very happy that he has recovered well -and that he can be with us on the pitch. He adds a lot and we are very happy about Diakhaby's goal.

In particular, I'm lucky that since I arrived at the first team he has always been close to me, giving me advice, because he is an experienced centre-back and that helps us. Despite the injury, he has always been attentive to us and helped us.

THREE CONSECUTIVE WINS AT MESTALLA

We know how important it is to play at Mestalla. We have had times when it has been more difficult, but now we have regained confidence and we have to move forward. The team are playing very well and that is the way.
