Santiago Cañizares leads the list with 416 official appearances, 305 of which were in LaLiga. The Madrid-born goalkeeper spent 10 seasons (1998–2008) at Valencia CF, winning eight titles. In second place is José Manuel Sempere, who played 364 matches (301 in LaLiga) over 15 seasons (1980–1995), claiming one title. Rounding out the podium is Ignacio Eizaguirre with 246 matches (187 in LaLiga) across 11 seasons (1941–1959), in which he won five competitions.

He was named Georgia’s Player of the Year 2024 by the Georgian Football Federation and Best Footballer of the Country by Georgian newspaper Sarbieli for his outstanding performance in the 2023–24 season. He also finished seventh in the race for the Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d’Or gala.
It’s also worth noting that next in the ranking, in 11th place, is Jaume Domènech with 122 matches, 78 of them in LaLiga. The Almenara native was part of the squad that won the Copa del Rey in 2019.
